Two Little Owls

Nicole contacted me about a small tattoo she had on her left forearm that she wanted covered up. She says, " I had a fairly small forearm tattoo of two little owls that was almost 10 years old; the idea behind it (in honor of my two kids) meant a lot to me, but I was never happy with the original artist's execution of it. "I found Victoria online when researching artists who did cover-up work in the Portland metro area and liked her thorough explanation of the process and expectations with cover-ups. In a time where it seems many artists just ask for online booking submissions with some inspiration ideas, but you do not get any communication about the project or see anything until day of tattooing, I also really appreciated her in-person consultation policy. I felt comfortable knowing we were on the same page before moving forward and confident she would be able to cover up what I had.  "I gave her some theme ideas and inspiration pictures: I wanted to incorporate two small owls into a scene that had a Pacific Northwest vibe, something forest-y, and I wanted the owls to look more realistic than what was being covered up. In the end, she came up with something that fit well with what I was going for, and she gave me full-scale renderings for both the outline and shading session as well as the full color final piece before doing the work. I'm really happy with the end result - and it is nearly impossible to see the original tattoo!"
