A student at OSU, Titus had some ink before coming up to Portland to see me about a new piece. His interest is in marine biology and all of his tattoos (and ideas for future tattoos) bend in that direction.
He brought me in some printouts of examples of octopus tattoos that he liked (I love it when people do their research!) and we settled on one particular Irezumi (Japanese) style image, that had a full color range and was in the same placement area (left shoulder, upper back). When we got to the color stage, though, Titus decided that he wanted to keep the color pallet cool and so we limited it to purples and blues.
Here are some photos of the drawing, outline and gray shading and very fresh final color stages.
