This is Karin. She came in to see me about some memento mori wrist tattoos that she wanted to receive to commemorate her husband, who had recently passed away.
She wanted specific imagery: on one wrist would be a Yin Yang representation of their favorite places to vacation: Hawaii and the mountains. On the other would be a compass rose, because that's the role he played in her life. She was leaning towards leaving them gray work pieces (no color) and I thought that worked fine, as wrist pieces are fairly small and for the exact imagery that she wanted (palm trees), it would be difficult to get any color to stay.
