Julie contacted me about covering up some scars on her left forearm; she had some ink located there already and didn't want to cover that up, but add to it. She was thinking about some type of underwater scene, to go with her mermaid, and came super prepared with print outs (which I love-- it makes my job so much easier) of some great examples of coral reefs, colorful fish and tattoo styles that she liked and hoped would work well for a cover up tattoo. (She'd read my Cover Up Tattoos page and followed my instructions-- another win.) It wasn't until our second meeting that I learned she lives in southern Oregon and drives up every time she sees me, gets her ink and then heads right back again!
