Coral had an old tattoo on her upper back she was interested in covering up. She says "Any tattoo needing to be covered up can be a bit of a sensitive subject and not always easy to deal with. I had finally mustered up the motivation to get the tattoo done but I was particular about what image I wanted to use to cover the original tattoo. "My idea had been shut down by two artists I had briefly talked to, previous to finding Victoria and her work. I scheduled a consultation with her and was sold right away. The space was private, comfortable, clean and simple-- completely my style. But the best of all was Victoria-- her attitude and dedication toward making what I had in mind work. The funny thing is, she went above and beyond my expectations. She created a true work of art that was completely unique and something I could call my own. She turned a generic thing into a one of a kind gem. "The icing on the cake? Her tattoo skills are a breath of fresh air. She is steady, fast, thorough and handles with care. I could go on and on about all the good things I have to say about her, her space, and her work, but I’ll keep it short. I will say I have not a negative thing to say, nor a let down in my mind. Thank you Victoria for turning a caterpillar into a butterfly!"
Here are some pictures of the drawing, before, outline, gray shading, and a start on the color stages.
